From the Image Vault: Holiday Card 1995

Holiday circ. 1995.jpg

Not so many years ago, December was when I made holiday cards. Looking  at them now, they give a glimpse of my daughters and our family life--in winter, mostly. Back then, I would often spend a week hand coloring stacks of cards.

Usually, I'd work on them in the evening, after the kids had gone to bed. Sometimes my husband would spell me the time. Listening to folk music,  I'd joyfully paint in rosy checks.

Happy Holidays!

I write and illustrate stories for children and adults. My stories are about family, friendship, knitting, and community. They chronicle the large and small victories and defeats of everyday life.
